How to Adjust the Size on our Plate Carrier vests

How to Adjust the Size on our Plate Carrier vests

Having the right size plate carrier vest is just as important as the plates themselves. That’s why our Redemption Tactical plate carriers have multiple ways to adjust for comfort and fit. When choosing your plate carrier you need to keep the following in mind:

Correct Plate Size

You need to choose the right plates for your size. Your height and weight determine your plate size. Size Small (8x10 plate) If you are under 5’1

Size Medium/Large (10x12 plate) If you are 5’1 to 6ft

Size XL (10x13.5) If you are 6ft and taller

Correct Plate Carrier;

Now you need to find a carrier that will fit the above plate securely.

Squat Test: Do a squat with the carrier on and see if you can comfortably move with it.

Neck Check: see if the plate carrier can be adjusted to two finger widths under the Clavicle (in between your collarbones where it forms a V shape) that is where the top of the plate in your carrier should be for maximum protection.

Final Adjustments:

Now adjust the waist by first getting the cummerbund where you want it to be on the sides then usually the plate carrier will allow you to lift open the rear flap to make it tighter or looser
